11:47

Every clock stops
at the same time.
One silent minute.
Every night.

Tonight I opened the door.
I had to know.

Eleven forty-seven.
Everything stands still.
Eleven forty-seven.
But you’re moving still.

No cars moving.
No footsteps below.
Then across the street
I saw you go.

You stopped.
You looked at me.

Eleven forty-seven.
Everything stands still.
Eleven forty-seven.
But you’re moving still.

One minute ended.
The whole world moved.

You didn’t.

Eleven forty-seven.
Everything stands still.
Eleven forty-seven.
And you’re watching me still.
